How to Make an Appointment
The Writing Resource Center has moved to its new location on the 11th floor of the State Street building.
Visit Once, or Once a Week
You can work on class assignments, general writing skills, or even writing samples and cover letters. But be sure to sign up sooner rather than later — we often get really busy just before papers are due.
Send Your Paper Ahead of Time
Twenty-four hours before your appointment, email your most recent draft (if you have one). Feel free to flag any areas you would like to focus on.
Bring a Copy of Your Draft
You’ll need it to take notes. If you have specific questions, bring those as well, but please address any substantive legal questions with your professor. We won’t edit your paper for you. Instead, we will talk about edits you can make to better meet your professor’s expectations. After all, that’s who will be grading your paper!
How to Cancel an Appointment
Let Us Know at Least 24 Hours Ahead of Time
Things come up. If you need to cancel, please log onto the scheduling portal. If you fail to show up or cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment time, you may jeopardize your ability to schedule future appointments.
Check Out Our Advising Policies
You can find more information about scheduling and canceling appointments as well as what to expect from your appointment.
