Summer 2020 Registration Information
To view our course catalog online, with course descriptions, number of credits and faculty names, visit the course catalog. Select a section (Juris Doctor, Intellectual Property, etc.) and scroll through the courses. Current students must register for courses through eCommons (see below).
Note: We are currently in the process of converting JMLS course numbers to new UIC course numbers. Students registering for Summer 2020 may need to use the Registrar's course conversion table to find the JMLS course number for summer registration. When using the table, you can use the UIC course number listed on this page to find the correlating JMLS course number needed for registration. For fall 2020, students will register using the UIC course number.
Registering for Courses
UIC John Marshall Law School offers registration services through eCommons, the online community restricted to students, faculty, and staff. Once you have logged into eCommons, you will see the Registration option under the Web Advisor tab. This will expand for the Student Planning link. In Student Planning, you can:
- Search course sections & register
- Browse the Course Catalog
- Plan your degree
When searching for courses and course sections, you will have a number of filter options for degree programs, terms, days and times, and course types.
Please be sure to review the course descriptions for requisites or other important permissions information.
