About

After graduating from Cornell University Law School, Cynthia D. Bond served as a volunteer staff attorney for Neighborhood Legal Services, a public interest law office, and went on to open a solo practice in Ithaca, focusing on family law for low-income clients. Subsequently, Bond became an associate with True, Walsh & Miller, LLP where her practice areas included litigation, domestic relations, and real estate. Professor Bond went on to teach for 5 years at Cornell Law School, where she taught a first-year legal writing class, as well as a seminar on law and film. She is a recipient of the Tompkins County Bar Association award for outstanding pro bono legal services and the American Bar Association Journal Ross Essay Award. Professor Bond came to John Marshall as a visiting professor in 2004 and joined the full-time faculty in 2006. She teaches Lawyering Skills I, Family Law, Images of Law in Film, and Law and Culture.
