Law School Coronavirus/COVID-19 Updates
UIC Law, in concert with the University of Illinois at Chicago, continues to monitor the situation related to the COVID-19 disease. The Law School continues to prioritize the health and safety of our community members.
UIC Law will be operating in hybrid format during Spring 2021, although we will begin in fully online mode and will announce when on-campus components of designated hybrid courses will begin.
All faculty teaching on campus are volunteers, and all students had and continue to have the option to take their classes 100% online.
Students who come to campus during the semester must either have an on-campus class that day or must make a reservation through the Libcal system. A few upper-level students (e.g., clinic students) may come to campus if they make a reservation through their designated program representative.
Alumni are permitted on campus only if they are studying for a February 2021bar examination and have an email address that works with the Libcal reservation system.
Faculty, staff, and students who need to enter campus for 30 minutes or less may request a reservation through the law-access@uic.edu email process and wait for confirmation. Individuals who arrive without a reservation (or name on a class roster for that day) may not be permitted to remain on campus. No guests are permitted on campus this semester.
For those coming to campus, please review the safety protocols on this site and complete your wellness check before coming to campus. Although we have put safety protocols in place, students, recent graduates, and faculty who choose to enter campus during this period, and staff who requested permission to work on campus during this period, are doing so voluntarily.
